About My Journey
M. Kausari Kaidani, often called Kaidani by friends and colleagues, was born and raised on Masalembu Island, a remote island in Sumenep Regency, Indonesia. Growing up in a small island community shaped his understanding of social challenges, economic limitations, and the importance of education in empowering society. From an early age, he became interested not only in technology, but also in how knowledge, ethics, and community values could contribute to sustainable development.
His educational journey began at SMAN 1 Masalembu, where he actively participated in academic, organizational, and social activities. Motivated by a strong desire to broaden his horizons, Kaidani continued his studies in Yogyakarta, one of Indonesia’s leading educational cities. There, he pursued a unique interdisciplinary path by undertaking a double-degree program simultaneously.
He studied Informatics at Nahdlatul Ulama University Yogyakarta while also studying Sharia Economic Law at Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University. Combining these two disciplines allowed him to develop both technical expertise and a deep understanding of Islamic economics, law, and ethical systems. Through commitment and perseverance, he successfully completed both degrees within four years and graduated in 2025.
During his university years, Kaidani actively engaged in research, organizational leadership, journalism, internships, volunteer programs, and community empowerment initiatives. His experiences ranged from developing IoT-based smart irrigation systems and AI/ML projects to participating in Islamic economic education, legal assistance, and social welfare programs. These experiences strengthened his belief that technology should serve humanity and contribute to ethical, inclusive, and sustainable development.
Beyond being a technology enthusiast, Kaidani is deeply committed to advancing Sharia economics and community empowerment. He believes that Islamic economic principles, when combined with modern innovation and digital transformation, can create more equitable and sustainable systems for society. His interests therefore extend beyond artificial intelligence, IoT, and software engineering into areas such as Islamic philanthropy, financial literacy, social empowerment, and ethical digital ecosystems.
Today, M. Kausari Kaidani continues to grow as a researcher, IoT developer, AI enthusiast, and Sharia economic innovator. Through interdisciplinary research and collaboration, he aspires to bridge technology and Islamic economic values to create intelligent systems and meaningful innovations that empower communities and contribute to a better future.
